Orange Beach, AL - After more than ten years, Orange Beach's "Bama Bayou" project will continue its development, as a team of premier companies join forces to breathe new life into the project.

 

"Bama Bayou" is located just off the Foley Beach Expressway in Orange Beach along the Intracoastal Waterway, and will transform 147-plus acres of Orange Beach, Alabama into a gulf destination resort full of fun for families nationwide. The $300-plus million project is expected to offer up to 1,100 hospitality units, aquarium and mammal edutainment opportunities, the largest private convention center in the area, and finally, a world-class outdoor waterpark, of which American Resort Management will oversee the operations.

 

The 15-acre waterpark will immerse guests in the beauty of the local waterways and wetlands, and provide them with world-class slides and attractions for every member of the family. The park will also feature a massive wave pool and a lazy river that will serve both as a ride and as transportation around the park with numerous entry/exit points.
