Grand Prairie, TX -- October 20, 2025 -- American Resort Management, LLC (ARM) announced today the appointment and promotion of four key executives to its senior leadership team, marking a strategic step forward in the company's continued growth across its national resort and waterpark portfolio. The leadership expansion comes as ARM accelerates development of new properties and positions itself to meet increasing demand for premium family resort experiences.
Strengthening Operations and Strategic Leadership
Bob Sharpe has been appointed Executive Vice President of Operations, overseeing company-wide operations and brand strategy. Sharpe brings over 25 years of theme park and hospitality experience, most recently serving as an executive with Universal Orlando Resort, where he led Operational Excellence initiatives across one of the nation's premier destination resorts. Known for his leadership in large-scale guest experience transformation and organizational performance initiatives, Sharpe will focus on optimizing resort operations, expanding ARM's market presence, and driving guest satisfaction through brand excellence.
Gary Yakesch has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Administration, overseeing Legal, Business Affairs, Risk Management, Human Resources, and overall administrative affairs. Yakesch brings over 30 years of experience from the DoubleTree/Guest Quarter Hotel brand and the public sector, where he served as Assistant Director of Business and City Controller. His promotion recognizes his instrumental role in building ARM's operational infrastructure and positions him to lead the company's administrative functions during this growth phase.
Justin Brown has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Development, overseeing development, design, and consultation for all new resort and waterpark projects, as well as continuous facility improvement. Brown brings over 20 years of waterpark and hospitality experience, including executive roles at Universal's Volcano Bay in Orlando, FL, and DelGrosso's Park & Laguna Splash in Tipton, PA. His deep expertise in waterpark design and operations will be critical as ARM expands its portfolio of destination properties.
Colby Youngblood has joined ARM as Vice President of Risk Management, leading company-wide safety, compliance, and insurance initiatives. A 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force who retired from active military service before transitioning to the private sector, Youngblood brings extensive experience in safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Most recently serving as President of Celestis Memorial Spaceflights, he has demonstrated success in managing complex risk environments across diverse industries.
"The expansion of our leadership team represents an important step in ARM's evolution," said Rick Coleman, Chief Executive Officer of American Resort Management. "ARM has always been committed to delivering superior experiences. These world-class additions to our senior leadership team position us for continued excellence as we grow our portfolio and serve more families across the country."
These leadership appointments reflect ARM's commitment to strengthening its operational capabilities and expanding its footprint in the resort and waterpark industry.
