Richard P. Coleman, CHA
Senior Vice President, Operations and Development

Richard has been involved in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. His career has encompassed all aspects of hotel, food and beverage, conference center and indoor water park operations. Richard has extensive experience ranging from the development and opening of to the daily management of single and multi unit operations, representing many major hospitality companies. Richard has focused his career on providing the best guest experience possible through the efforts of recruiting, training and motivating management and staff. He has written, produced and implemented dozens of orientation, training and retention programs. A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, Richard has lived and gained invaluable experience in numerous cities along the east coast. Currently residing in Erie, Richard is married and has two children.

As Director of Operations at Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort, Richard was responsible for all aspects of operations. He was involved in the planning and development of the 90,000 sq .ft. facility, developed and implemented all policies and procedures, designed and opened arcade, gift shop and food and beverage areas, assisted in creation of reservation center, managed sales and marketing efforts, and was responsible for all areas of human resource development and training.

As Operations Manager at Scott Enterprises, Richard was responsible for all areas of day to day operations of seven hotels representing five major hospitality flags, represented owners during construction phase and opening of five hotels, and responsible for adhering to all brand standards and directed efforts that achieved over 12 industry awards.
