Meet the American Resort Management, LLC Executive Team:

Jeffrey D. Mona, CHA - President

Jeffrey has been involved in the hospitality industry since 1986. He began his career in the restaurant industry before transitioning into hotels. Over the past 20 years, Jeffrey has been actively engaged with major hotel, restaurants and project development companies; as general manager, regional director, project manager and Director of Operations. He has developed Human Resource & SOP materials. Prior to becoming President of American Resort Management, LLC he spent several years working with a group to form a hotel and management company that grew to a portfolio of 20 nationally franchised and independent properties. His experience has helped him develop operational procedures, training systems and accounting procedures for the hospitality industry.

Jeffrey's concentration has been in overseeing operations and coordinating development projects. Projects have included hotels, convention centers, commercial development planning, Water Park design and operations and restaurant developments.

Jeffrey attended Penn State University majoring in Business Management and is a Certified Hotel Administrator by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

Richard P. Coleman, CHA - Executive V. P. New Product Development & General Partner

Mr. Coleman has been involved in the hospitality and amusement industries for over 25 years. His career has encompassed all aspects of hotel, food and beverage, conference center, amusement, and indoor water park operations. He has extensive experience ranging from development, financing, branding, launch and daily management of single and multi-unit properties, representing many nationally flagged and independent locations.

Over the past decade Mr. Coleman has been directly involved in numerous large scale hotel, resort and themed attraction projects totaling over $ 500M in development. Mr. Coleman has extensive experience in EB-5, USDA and other non-traditional funding programs.

Mr. Coleman has focused his career on providing the best guest experience possible through the efforts of recruiting, training, and motivating management and staff. He has written, produced and implemented dozens of orientation, training and retention programs.

A frequent lecturer and guest speaker, Mr. Coleman works tirelessly promoting the need for a return to more personalized and “old world” service. Mr. Coleman has written and delivered dozens of property specific orientation programs for managers and associates that motivate individuals to reach for excellence. Mr. Coleman also created and developed the “Aloha Spirit” Orientation and Training Programs as well as the “Housekeeping Games” Employee Retention Program.

Mr. Coleman holds the following certifications and memberships: Certified Hotel Administrator from the American Hotel & Lodging Association, member of International Association of Amusement Parks and Attraction, certified Ride Inspector for the State of Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Laura Salisbury - Vice-President of Sales and Marketing

Laura has been involved in the hospitality industry for more than twenty years. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baker College, majoring in Marketing Management and then began her career in the airline industry before moving into hotel sales and operations management. Before joining American Resort Management, LLC Laura was responsible for overseeing both overall sales and operations for multiple hotels as an executive member of a national hotel management company, where her portfolio included diverse properties in major, mid and small markets, including full-service and all-suite hotels ranging in size from 60 to 600 rooms.

Laura has extensive experience in the preparation and implementation of sales & marketing plans and operating budgets, along with the monitoring of their results. She works directly with the property management and hotel sales teams to ensure the effectiveness of the sales and marketing efforts. Laura is responsible for recruiting, training and developing all sales personnel and is experienced in developing standard operating procedures and training programs.

Laura is dedicated to providing hands-on leadership, developing strong selling relationships and implementing sales & marketing programs to ensure profitability and the maximization of revenue. Throughout her career, Laura has been actively involved in city and state tourism organizations and numerous hospitality sales associations.

Doug Nickerson, CHA, CHRE - Vice President Hotel Operations

As a leader in the hospitality industry for more than 20 years, Mr. Nickerson demonstrates a passion for guest service while maximizing revenues, REVPAR, ADR and return on investment.

A creative and talented leader in all aspects of hotel management, restaurant and multi-unit food and beverage operations, Mr. Nickerson has the proven ability to manage and execute complex business strategies and objectives with a collaborative leadership style. As a strategic thinker, he is responsible for conceiving, planning and executing strategies and systems that increase sales, market share, brand awareness and loyalty, guest and associate satisfaction, organizational competitiveness, growth and sustainability in difficult market conditions. He excels in recruiting and building talented teams that consistently produce extraordinary results in the operation and management of high quality, high volume hospitality venues.

Before joining American Resort Management, LLC., he spearheaded the opening, repositioning and new unit development of over 43 individual properties including nationally flagged hotels and restaurants, high volume independent fine dining operations, catering and quick service concepts. As a corporate director, he was responsible for multi-unit operations, training, development, and management development with a leading national franchise where he was a key member of the executive team operating 36 high volume restaurants with over 2800 associates. He is an expert in property management, budgeting and cost control, planning, communications and accountability, coaching, team building, mentoring, situational leadership and management development.

Several properties under his direction received national industry awards for quality, innovation, execution and guest satisfaction. He also served on a national franchise advisory board providing strategic input on national hospitality initiatives and is a certified hospitality administrator. Mr. Nickerson’s efforts are concentrated in operations management where he provides onsite services to ARM clients including; property transition services, operational triage, PIP property improvement planning, facility management, quality, financial and human resource audits, systems development, concept development and refinement, project management, management development, food and beverage consulting and assistance with the compliance of brand standards.

Chad Lagomarsino - Director of Development-Southeast Region

As ARM’s Director of Development for the Southeast Region, Chad is involved in many aspects of the expansion of American Resort Management’s portfolio, identifying and analyzing potential hotel and resort investments, securing third party management contracts for hotel, resorts and entertainment projects and joint-venture hotel, resort and entertainment projects. Throughout his career, Chad has developed solid relationships with owners, brokers, and financial institutions in the region, which assist him in identifying opportunities for our investment partners and contracts for ARM.

Prior to joining American Resort Management, Chad was a founding partner of Georgia Land and Commercial Solutions (GLS). Under his leadership, GLS grew into an industry giant which was empowered by over 700 licensed agents working in the Virtual Properties division. GLS was responsible for brokering and closing large tracts of land throughout Georgia. Chad has been successful in closing a variety of land and commercial properties. Properties include 8,800 acre timber tract outside of Athens Georgia to numerous raw land developments in Northeast Georgia. Chad owned and master planned 65 prime acres in Gwinnett County, including plans to bring the first indoor water park mixed use project to Georgia. Chad also has developed many small projects in the panhandle of Florida and helped raise financing for 2,700 acres in Pensacola. Chad’s company allowed buyers to pursue their dreams.

Jennifer Pulver - Director of Marketing and Creative Services

Jennifer has been providing income development, marketing and graphic design solutions for more than fifteen years. Graduating from University of Buffalo with a Bachelor’s degree in both graphic design and communication, with her communication concentration in public relations, Jennifer offers innovative marketing, sales, public relations, and creative development experience.

Jennifer began her career working in the hospitality industry as a manager of entertainment and public relations before taking on a position at the American Cancer Society and Aspire of WNY, where she spent over 8 years developing expert skills in planning, development, and implementation of income activities through relationship management, grass roots marketing and public relations. She developed a strong expertise in alternate marketing strategies, which she currently utilizes to supplement marketing budgets.

Making the transition back to for-profit field, Jennifer accepted a position with a hospitality-based company in Erie, PA as a Marketing Manager. She was responsible for marketing efforts across 20 nationally franchised hotels, restaurants and independent entertainment properties including Marriott and Applebee’s concepts before joining the team at American Resort Management.

Currently, Jennifer is responsible for the creation of marketing and advertising collateral as well as insuring that American Resort Management, LLC properties are featured prominently through internet search engines and across the web. Jennifer is committed to the tracking and adjustment of each property’s marketing plan to match the dynamic, changing landscape in the marketing world. Working with the management teams, Jennifer actively seeks out advertising, public relations and communications options both online and transitional to formulate successful marketing programs for each property.

Lisa Best - Human Resources Manager

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Nazarene College as well as a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from Walden University.

With over 10 years of progressively advanced experience in customer service and management roles, Lisa has made considerable contributions in all professional positions she has held. As a retail manager, Lisa applied her dynamic leadership talents toward directing all daily operations to include overseeing results-focused inventory, merchandising, purchasing, and cash management practices that attained substantial bottom-line results. In her previous position as an Executive Assistant, Lisa spearheaded increased efficiency and organizational rates for executive-level management by 50%; improved general office productivity levels 25% by streamlining processes/procedures; successfully adjusted calendar activities to maximize senior staff time efficiency by 25%; increased utilization of up-to-date document tracking system by 90%; optimized management-based initiatives to increase workload/workflow by 50%.

Lisa brings to our team a vast background in Human Resources Management, Training/Development, Business Communications and Information Management.

Gerald Cermak, CPA - Director of Financial Services

Mr. Cermak is a Certified Public Accountant and a Graduate of Edinboro University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration/Accounting. He has over 26 years of experience as a dedicated professional in Accounting and Finance at some of the most elite companies in the country where he filled various roles from Accounting Manager, Financial Analyst for consolidation and reporting, and both Internal and External Auditor.

Prior to joining American Resort Management, LLC. Gerald has held both the Director and Chairman positions with American Foundry Society Northwest PA Chapter, as well as the Director position for the Allegheny Recovery Corporation.

Erik Thornton - Office Manager

Erik Thornton is a graduate of Edinboro University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Erik has over five years of management and marketing experience, most notably as a Manager and Lead Marketing Director for a multi-platinum, Grammy nominated music producer. He brings an ambitious, intelligent attitude based on integrity and respect for the customer and customer's needs.

Erik oversees the day-to-day operations of the office headquarters; overseeing and maintaining fantastic customer service, as well as the communication between the managed properties and the company headquarters. He prepares Business Plans, Marketing Plans, and Press Releases, while also providing Mystery Shop Services, Researching, and Archiving. Erik also provides additional support to managed properties and prepares various documents.  It is his objective to continue and improve upon the exceptional efficiency and customer service that American Resort Management, LLC already has implemented.
